Every morning before I wake up, the Holy Spirit speaks to me and directs me to a passage in the Word to study before I start my day.
When you seek God first thing in the morning, the tone of your day is secured by His affirmation.
When you just get up and go, you are just tossed to and fro with whatever pops up and pull by whatever everybody else wants you to do.
If you consistently allow this to happen day in and day out, month after month, year after year, you’ll find yourself frustrated and spinning your wheels in life but not really going anywhere.
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
So in essence, if you are not walking in the Word of God, you are walking in darkness and going to always hurt yourself and others.
What usually happens when a person is walking in darkness and someone who can see tries to help them, they can’t receive it. This reminded me of how Jesus, who is the Word and the one who created the world, was rejected by his own.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
The same was in the beginning with God.
All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
When we reject God’s council we are left to figure it all out by ourselves but this is a trap that opens the door for Satan to orchestrate your life.
The Word is A Solid Rock
“Whoever comes to Me, and hears My sayings and does them, I will show you whom he is like:
“He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently against that house, and could not shake it, for it was founded on the rock.
“But he who heard and did nothing is like a man who built a house on the earth without a foundation, against which the stream beat vehemently; and immediately it fell. And the ruin of that house was great.”
Don’t allow yourself to be deceived and tossed to and fro by following the course of this life without your anchor being rooted in His Word.
Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast [them] into the fire, and they are burned.
If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.
May the Lord be with you,
