When you are a leader, various aspects of your influence beams like a prism of light that effects people in ways that we don't even know and understand all the way. What you believe in your head, is going to shine through your soul for the public to see and pattern. When you have followers, they obviously see you as one who they can grow in identity from by watching you. It's always based on what voids our parents didn't fill that drives us to seek out our identity through other influential people in various areas of our lives. I've always held onto the idea that if you are going to follow someone, you need to know what your following and where your going. So here's a principle to take away for anybody to use as a follower, don't follow leaders based on vainity, lust, and coveting what they have or what they can do. Be realistic and practical in measuring what you fill you'd like to do and/or have. Trust me, Idolatry will keep you floating in deception and you won't even realize how your off course.
My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments:
For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.
Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart:
So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
May the Lord be with you,
