MUSICIAN NUGGET ON WISE COUNCIL | Don’t just focus on the music. Get under a good pastor that will CHALLENGE you to do stuff morally right. Get a business coach who will help you with structure and strategy for your business pursuits. Get a marketing coach to help you with understanding the psychology surrounding your niche and target audience. And lastly of course, you can get a coach to help you musically. Life is a journey and we have to aim to be “complete”. We all individually need a “board of directors” that we can be accountable to in order to help keep us headed in the right direction. I saw a post by another musician the other day, as I paraphrase, he was saying, just because you’re good in one area, it doesn’t automatically transfer to others. This is true! We gotta know what our strengths are and more importantly, know what our weaknesses are too. It’s much easier to have someone else who we trust to bring to our attention what our issues are and then discuss what can be done to overcome them. Don’t be lifted up in pride just because you think you “special” cause you can play an instrument well. Most people don’t care as much as we do anyway! So the best thing to do is get counselors to help us better position ourselves to be more effective in efforts. And we’re not competing with other musicians either. Our aim should be towards fulfilling ALL of what God has put in us to fulfill.
LET’S GO!!! #thetimeisnow #TTIN
Without wise leadership, a nation falls; there is safety in having many advisers.
Pride goes before destruction, and haughtiness before a fall.
