Many are under an illusion that if they don’t hear the truth, they don’t have to be subject to it. They feel that morality is whatever a person wants it to be. Think about it though, when we choose one thing, we’ve chosen against another. We might be ignorant of the ramifications of that choice but the consequences of our decision is not optional. This is why we have to seek God so we can get perspective from one who has the blimp view and knows the end from the beginning. Otherwise, our foolish choices will set traps for us that we’ll one day fall into.

Ignorance doesn’t excuse consequences.

Consequences are inevitable!

Gal 6:7-8

Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.

Pro 2:1-5

My son, if you receive my words and treasure up my commandments with you, making your ear attentive to wisdom and inclining your heart to understanding; yes, if you call out for insight and raise your voice for understanding, if you seek it like silver and search for it as for hidden treasures, then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God.
